Low Budget Guide To Travell Across Jakarta-Bali by LandLine



Summary trip Jakarta-Bali using the landline and sea routes.

Most Indonesia's tourist still revolved around the Java. Although other islands also has its own uniqueness, but Java seems more popular.

This time, I will review the estimation of low-budget travel from Jakarta to Bali. Using train, bus and ship. Or Ojek the occasional taxi, a very famous traditional transportation in Indonesia.
Soekarno-Hatta International Airport became the starting point of the trip.

Since we're talking about landline, then certainly the widely used transport train. And I will be reviewing the coolest places for a stopover from Jakarta-Bali.

The line traveled from jakarta-bali by land more or less about 1200 km.
Starting from the airport, we will be heading into the busiest station in jakarta. Pasar Senen Station. 

From this station, y'all should book tickets to Lempuyangan station, Yogyakarta.
Estimation of the cheapest ticket price is IDR74,000-IDR400,000 range. Depending on you guys want to use a low budget or luxury. 
Because here discussed about low budget, all estimated costs I wear low budget.

Train schedule for the price of IDR74,000 is a departure at 11.20 pm and up at Lempuyangan in 19.42 pm.
After you reach in Yogyakarta, it's time to exploring Yogyakarta ...

Yogyakarta or Jogjakarta has a lot of nice places to visit. The temple complex of Borobudur, Prambanan Temple, Malioboro, the stretch of coast that is not going to run out in the cruising one day, the King's baths (Taman Sari), nature place Kali Biru, Goa Pindul, and there are still lots cool places.

The Inn is very much in the area of Malioboro. Start from IDR150,000.
If you guys don't like to explore alone, you can book the agents travel.
They will drive you guys get around Yogyakarta. To a beautiful place.
I suggest, spend at least three days to explore Yogyakarta and enjoy the hospitality of its inhabitants.

Once finished in Yogyakarta, you guys can continue the journey with train to Probolinggo.
You can use train Logawa188 to Probolinggo. It cost about IDR74.000 for the train ticket.
Why I recommend to Probolinggo? Because there is Bromo. Yupz, mt.Bromo. The most popular mountain among the tourist.

From Probolinggo station, you can take public transportation to get to Terminal Probolinggo. After finally reached the terminal you guys can use the Bison (a sort of mini transport) with the aim of directly to Cemoro Lawang are outside the Terminal of Probolinggo. 
If you guys are confused, you can find it by asking directly at the people you met there.
Beware of scam that is often the case in the freight Bison headed Cemoro Lawang. 
The rate for a ride to the Bison to Cemoro Lawang is IDR30,000. Don't forget, you guys have to reach Probolinggo before 5 pm because it is difficult to find transport (Bison) to Cemoro Lawang after 5 pm. If not, you still can find transport but usually the driver will raise rates.

Arriving in Cemoro Lawang, you can directly search for inn. Or if not, look for an Inn run by residents. Usually it costs relatively cheaper than staying at a hotel in Cemoro Lawang.

Of Cemoro Lawang, you get to choose what  transport you wants explore spots in Bromo.
If you guys have quite a lot of money, you can rent a Jeep to get around to the tourist spots it. But if you guys are adherents of low budget traveller, then try to book Ojek.   
You guys just have to pay IDR100,000 for touring toward Penanjakan 1, Bromo crater, hills, Pasir Berbisik and Teletubies Hill.
Remember, the best time for the Bromo is in the summer about June to October. The entrance fee to the Bromo is IDR 27,500 in an ordinary day and IDR32,500. 
Don't forget to bring a thick jacket, gloves and a scarf because later you will very need it when heading Penanjakan 1 to enjoy the sunrise.

Enjoying Bromo and all the beauty, you guys can continue the journey to Banyuwangi to Karang Asem station. The tip of the island of Java that will deliver you guys to the island of Bali.
Using the train Probowangi213, you only need IDR27,000 for one ticket. Departure at 06:44 PM GMT and until at 11 PM GMT.

Karang asem station, you can go straight to the port of ketapang to get to Bali.
But, don't miss the Banyuwangi.

There is an awful lot of beautiful excursions to visit. like the Ijen crater, Red Island Beach, the Baluran National Park, Blue Bay, and many more.
You can use the travel to visit those places.
So many inn in Banyuwangi, but if you guys want to interact with many people, you guys could try staying at Guesthouses Banyuwangi "Rumah Singgah Banyuwangi'. It is located not far from the station of Banyuwangi. You can rent motorcycle to explore or book travel service to explore some places.

Once completed in Banyuwangi, you can go directly to the harbour. And continued across to Bali with a ship from the port of Ketapang to Gili Manuk.
Ferry ticket price IDR6,000.
Arriving at the port, you can walk to the terminal Gili Manuk. There are many available transportation to drive to Ubung.
Ticket priced at approximately IDR35,000. Be carefull, many scalpers offering tickets to drive from Ubung with high prices.
Get drive from Ubung, don't forget to be assertive. Grumpy-grumpy thug there.
When it's up on the drive from Ubung, then you can choose where to visit.
Kuta Beach, Bedugul, Tanah Lot, Sanur Beach, Lempuyang Luhur Temple, Ubud and more.
In Bali, you can rent a motorcycle to visit those places. With a starting price IDR75,000/24 hours, you can already get around Bali.
